About ClimbCo
ClimbCo is a company built by climbers, for climbers.
Founded by Kelly Soohoo — a former Wall Street trader, ultramarathoner, and lifelong mountaineer — ClimbCo began with one big idea: to create gear that reflects the spirit of why we climb, explore, and push limits.
Kelly was born and raised in Los Angeles, where the mountains were both an escape and a calling. His father — a climber, runner, and community organizer — introduced him to the outdoors early. After 13 years in institutional finance, Kelly left Wall Street behind and headed for the mountains, summiting Denali, Aconcagua, and Gasherbrum II without guides or shortcuts.
That same drive to go deep, not wide, now powers ClimbCo.
We manufacture from the ground up in a village near Huizhou, China, where our climbing holds and flooring are shaped, tested, and refined by people who live for the climb. With no background in manufacturing or Chinese, Kelly built ClimbCo one hold, one stitch, one system at a time — learning the long, hard way, and doing it for all the right reasons.
No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just serious gear, made to last — and made to matter, especially for gyms committed to growing the sport the right way.
Today, ClimbCo serves the global climbing community — from grassroots startups to large multi-gym facilities.
Because climbers know: the details matter.
We obsess over every one.
ClimbCo. Built from the ground up. Born to climb.
