About ClimbCo

ClimbCo is a company built by climbers, for climbers.

Founded by Kelly Soohoo, ClimbCo began with a straightforward goal: to build reliable climbing gear that reflects our expectations for quality, consistency, and honest business practices.

Kelly grew up in Los Angeles, where the mountains were a constant presence. His father—a climber, runner, and community organizer—introduced him to the outdoors early. After more than a decade working in equity trading, Kelly left finance and returned to the mountains, spending years climbing and mountaineering in places such as Pakistan, Alaska, and Argentina.

That same commitment to depth, exploration, discipline, and long-term thinking shaped ClimbCo.

The company manufactures from the ground up in Huizhou, China, where climbing holds, flooring, and related systems are developed, tested, and refined in-house. With no prior manufacturing background or Chinese language skills, Kelly built ClimbCo incrementally—learning production, materials, and processes directly on the factory floor.

Today, ClimbCo designs and manufactures climbing holds and gym flooring, supplies hardware for gyms and route setters, and develops new products and technologies, including the Hand Jam skincare line, the Respiro Air ESP filtration system, and OEM solutions for partner brands.

ClimbCo works with gyms of all sizes—from independent facilities to large multi-gym operators—with a focus on safety, durability, and dependable execution. Because in climbing, details matter. And we take them seriously.
